Some Medicare product agents would just as soon keep things simple. They aim to learn what’s in the issuers’ product information packets and what they need to know to pass licensing and certifications exams, and that’s about it. Other Medicare product agents and brokers believe that knowledge is power. They want to know everything from how people with disabilities go about getting Medicare, to how officials handle people who have been using the same Medicare Supplement policies since the current Medicare “letter plan” framework took effect, to what Sodexo serves for breakfast in the cafeteria at the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) headquarters building in Baltimore.
