Sales is often seen as an industry that anyone can get into.
Whilst this may be true not everyone will become a great sales person. Great sales people are those that consistently hit above their target, they live and breathe sales and are the ones that are always moving forward.
“Great salespeople are literally the engine of every economy in the world.”
So what differentiates a normal or good salesperson from a great one?
What makes them more effective at selling and delivering results?
What are they doing differently?
After working with and studying some of the greatest sales people across the globe I’ve compiled a list of the key attributes and traits that they all share in common. Used correctly you too could become a GREAT salesperson.
1) They listen more than they speak – Great sales people always ask their clients why they want something done. When you listen more than you talk you can better accommodate what they are looking for. You are also able to identify more opportunities and build much stronger relationships.
2) They don’t switch OFF – Great sales people are selling 24/7 and always looking out for opportunities. It might be in the supermarket or at the gym, if they sense a sales opportunity they jump on it! Read more here.
